Job Title: Manufacturing Production Assembler
Location: Georgia, Atlanta
Description: Manufacturing Production Assembler is responsible for the disassembly of various parts and major components and reports to the manufacturing principal mechanic. The manufacturing production assembler will also disassemble smaller components which includes plumbing and wiring and will follow overhaul instruction manual. Manufacturing production assembler clean parts using steam cleaning and other solvent based techniques per overhaul specification.
Manufacturing production assembler is also responsible to remove various parts and components using specialized tools and equipment including hydraulic presses and will be expected to oversee a team engaged in these activities.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical technical qualification required.
Minimum 5+ years mechanical experience in aerospace systems, parts/ and component assembly/disassembly.
3+ years experience as leader of a mechanical team engaged in aerospace parts/component assembly/disassembly.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints with solid experience in overhaul manuals for major components .
Able to operate various electrical tools and cutters and measuring equipment etc
Experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies
