Basic Job Description
The electro-mechanical assembler will report to the Manufacturing
Manager and will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical assembly
operations as part of the Energy Storage System (ESS - the vehicle battery
pack) manufacturing progress. This person will be expected to be able to
execute against the provided manufacturing instructions, validate their own
work, and check the quality of previous operations. Experience with small
hand tools a must with some experience using semi-automated equipment highly
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
a.. To work on a production/prototype basis.
b.. Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly work.
c.. Tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand
tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery.
d.. Typically involves a variety of operations, including
troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient
understanding of the functional operation of the items
assembled as well as the finished product.
e.. Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing
documentation and/or verbal and written instructions and
specialized fixtures/test equipment
f.. Assemblers are also responsible for quality activities,
including self inspection, and inspection.
g.. Updates production records and test results. Communicates test
results, ideas and problems to technicians and engineers.
h.. Clean-up production areas as required. Identify discrepant
materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisor.
i.. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within
Qualifications: Minimum Education, Skills & Experience Required:
a.. College Degree, may consider a Technical Diploma or equivalent
b.. Minimum of 7 years experience in assembly of electro-mechanical
