Job Title: Head of Corrosion and Integrity
Location: Canada, Calgary
Description: Head of Corrosion and Integrity|
Overall management and leadership of Corrosion and Integrity and Regulatory
Growing the competence and capacity in the section in the areas of
external and internal corrosion, facilities integrity assessment and
management, and loss control management processes.
Develop corrosion and engineering consultancy work in the oil and gas
Ensure efficient tendering/proposals/contract handling.
Develop consultancy work in chosen strategic industries related to
external and internal corrosion, facility integrity and associated loss
control management systems
Overall management of project work in the Corrosion Services and Regulatory
Compliance Section by performing, managing, or supervision of project work
technical direction, advice and project control.
Project cost tracking to ensure projects are on time and on budget
Report-writing, verification activities and client presentations.
Ensuring Engineering work is performed in accordance with regulatory
as well as industry codes and standards
Co-ordinating corrosion and integrity management and regulatory
compliance activities, as required, to meet project requirements
Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and manage projects so as
to achieve budgetary and profitability goals for the departments.
Establishing and communicating performance goals to employees.
Conducting Performance/Merit Evaluations with employees, and
initiating development plans, as required.
Qualifications: Degree or higher in relevant Engineering discipline (preferably in
Engineering, Metallurgy & Materials, or Mechanical Engineering)
Professional Engineer - registered or fully eligible for registration in
Professional certification and qualifications from relevant industry
technical associations (e.g. NACE, API, etc.)
Minimum 12+ years experience in corrosion engineering, integrity and
loss control management disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to manage a technical team.
Previous oil and gas consultancy or contractor experience
Business development experience.
Experience and knowledge in preparation of budgets (capital, O&M),
forecasting and project cost tracking
Experience in integrity management practices and program development,
including: Inspection technologies and techniques
Risk based inspection and decision making
Defect, remaining life and risk assessment techniques
Failure analysis and fitness for service assessment
Integrity management systems and policies
Experience with Canadian/US pipeline standards and regulations
