Description:
Transportation Account Manager develops new business in accordance with budgetary requirements as designated by Branch and Sales Manager. Transportation Account Manager reviews client requirements and works to create viable solutions; works closely with customer servicing teams, communicating client requirements, ensuring a smooth process. Transportation Account Manager will manage profitability levels on a per client basis so as to meet desired personal and branch profitability goals. Daily and weekly reporting of market conditions to branch and corporate management. Assist sales manager in the development, coaching and mentoring. 
 
Maintains existing clients and designated sales territory, maximizing profitability and volumes via daily customer contact while delivering customer focused solutions that create value for the client and organization. Meet budgetary requirements for profit margin as designated by the Branch & Sales Manager. Meet specific volume requirements for each product in the portfolio as designated by the Branch & Sales Manager. Timely communication of customer needs to servicing staff, maximizing customer retention. Develop procedures and action plans, in conjunction with customer service, to maintain the existing client base.


Qualifications:
Degree BA/BS in Business or Transportation.
8+ year experience in freight forwarding or air and ocean carrier sales.
Strong knowledge of Air & Ocean Freight Operations. 
Export Regulations / AES, FAA & TSA Regulations. IATA Knowledge 
Knowledge of FMC Compliance Requirements 
Skilled in Microsoft office Products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
Valid driver’s license
